Liberty Christian Academy Statement of Faith

WE BELIEVE…

The Scriptures in the Holy Bible are Inspired by God and declare His design and plan for mankind. The 66 Books of the Bible are the unique, written Word of God. The Bible is divinely inspired, inerrant, infallible, supremely authoritative and sufficient in everything it teaches. Its assertions are factually true in all the original autographs. Its authority is not limited to spiritual, religious, or redemptive themes, but includes its assertions in such fields as history and science. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 4:12)

WE BELIEVE….

There is only One True God – revealed in three persons….Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (commonly known as the Trinity). He is self-existent and eternal, infinitely perfect, the Creator, Sustainer, and Ruler of ALL things. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Luke 3:21-22)

WE BELIEVE…

In the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. As God’s Son, Jesus was both human and divine. (Matthew 1:23; 2 Corinthians 5:2; Romans 8:34)

WE BELIEVE….

Though originally good, man willingly fell to sin – ushering in evil and death, both physical and spiritual, into the world. The special creation of Adam (the first man) and Eve (the first woman) and their subsequent fall into sin is the basis for the Necessity of Salvation for mankind. (Genesis 2:16-17; Romans 3:23)

WE BELIEVE…

Every person can have Restored Fellowship with God through “Salvation” (trusting Christ through Faith and Repentance, to be our Personal Savior). Salvation involves the redemption of the whole person, and is offered freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. There is no salvation apart from Personal Faith in Jesus Christ as Lord.
(Ephesians 2:8; Romans 10:9-10)

WE BELIEVE….

Sanctification initially occurs at Salvation and is not only a declaration that a believer is Holy, but also a progressive lifelong process of separating from evil as believers and continually growing closer to God by becoming more Christlike. Sanctification is the experience by which the Believer is set apart for God’s Purposes and is enabled to progress toward moral and spiritual maturity through the presence and power of the Holy Spirit dwelling in him.
(Hebrews 12:5-11; I Corinthians 6:15-20; I Peter 1:14-16)

WE BELIEVE…

Jesus Christ will return visibly and in Glory at the end of history to raise the dead, judge the world, destroy all evil, and consummate His Kingdom. Believers are encouraged to be prepared for His return while waiting with eagerness and joy.
(I Thessalonians 4:16-18; Titus 2:13)

WE BELIEVE….

God has clearly defined men/males and women/females by His order in Creation and procreation based on their biological gender at birth. Therefore, Liberty Christian Academy recognizes that in all of our relationships, ministries, facilities and property use only the gender so defined by God as a person’s true identity before God. For LCA, this is a matter of our religious faith.

WE BELIEVE…

According to the Bible, marriage is the uniting of one man and one woman in covenant commitment for a lifetime. It is God’s unique gift to reveal the union between Christ and His Church and to provide for the man and the woman the framework for intimate companionship in marriage.

(Genesis 1:26-28; 2:15-26; 3:1-20; Matthew 5:31-32; 18:2-5; 19:3-9, Mark 10:6-12; Eph. 5:21, 6:4)

WE BELIEVE….

that God’s Word specifically opposes all attempts to define morality, marriage, family, human identity and human relationships in ways other that those portrayed in the Bible as acceptable to God. We oppose all forms of sexual immorality. (Romans 1:18-32; I Corinthians 7:1-16; Ephesians 5:21-26; 6:1-4; Colossians 3:5-10, 18-21; I Timothy 5:8, 14; 2 Timothy 1:3-5; Titus 2:3-5; Hebrews 13:1-5; 1 Peter 3:1-7)

WE BELIEVE…

That God’s Word specifically opposes all forms of human trafficking, racism, exploitation, slavery, violence, greed, selfishness, oppression, and any other attitude, activity or relationship that degrades other mankind and denies them the dignity which they were created in the image of God to enjoy. We will speak and work to provide for and protect the poor, the powerless, the child, the orphaned, the abused, the aged, the sick, and the unborn. We contend strongly for the sanctity of all human life from conception to natural death. .
